What is the central idea of your concentration?
The central idea of my concentration is about the exploration of shape, line, texture, and color that organically grows from abstract washes.

How does the work in your concentration demonstrate the exploration of your idea? You may refer to specific images as examples. When referencing specific images, please indicate the image number.
In images 1, 2, and 3, I started my concentration out with pure washes of watercolor. I used a straw to blow the area, creating exciting shapes for me. I then began to use pen, colored pencil and other dry media to expand my concentration. I repeated certain shapes and designs throughout and pushed each piece until satisfied. I eventually began to incorporate Photoshop into my work as a tool to explore my concentration. In pieces 5, 8, 9, and 11 I played with opacities and erasure digitally until I found the right balance of layering and transparency of the work.
